Stop 1
Leave New York early and stop in Toledo. You can visit the Toledo Museum of Art and its Glass Pavilion, visit the National Museum of the Great Lakes, and learn about the incredible history and international importance of the lakes.
Chicago
Stop 2
Chicago is also known for its museums. The Museum of Science and Industry homes mind-blowing exhibits. Visitors can even visit a German submarine and learn how they work. The Field Museum is also great to learn more about natural history. If you would prefer to explore gardens, the Chicago Botanic Gardens make for a beautiful day out.
Minneapolis and St Paul
Stop 3
Time to see the beautiful Twin Cities! Minneapolis and St Paul are bursting with history and culture. You can visit some of the many local museums and galleries to learn more. For a great view of St Anthony Falls, visit the historic Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis and follow the walking path. The Basilica of Saint Mary is also well worth a visit to check out the beautiful architecture. Another great place to visit is the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
Mount Rushmore
Stop 4
Little bit of history on your way to Seattle. Stop to admire the Mount Rushmore National Memorial which is a large-scale mountain sculpture. The figures of America’s most prominent U.S. presidents–George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt—represent 150 years of American history.
Seattle
Final Stop
Seattle, the last stop of your journey! Seattle is surrounded by water, mountains and evergreen forests, and contains thousands of acres of parkland. Don’t miss out on the famous Space Needle, the Pike Place Market and the Chihuly Garden and Glass.
