What our customers say about our campervan rentals in Los Angeles

Why Hiring a Campervan from Los Angeles is a Great Hire – Expert Advice

“The drive from Los Angeles to Sequoia National Park is full of incredible stopovers, from theme parks to mountain lakes, and having a campervan gives you the freedom to take detours, stay overnight, and enjoy each place at your own pace.” – Bastian Graf, Global Sales & Marketing Manager, Travellers Autobarn

How Much Does it Cost to Rent a Campervan near Sequoia National Park?

Several factors can influence the cost of renting a campervan, including the type of vehicle you choose, the length of your rental, and overall travel demand at the time.

In Los Angeles, the low season runs from November to April, making it a great time to secure lower rental rates compared to the busier May to October period. Plus, the longer you rent, the more you save — our rates are automatically discounted for extended hires. You’ll enjoy better daily rates when renting for 7+, 14+, 21+ or 34+ days, compared to a short 7-day trip.

Looking for the best value? Our Minivan and Chubby Camper are the most budget-friendly options. If you’re after newer vehicles with extra comfort and features, consider the Beeva Camper, Kuga Campervan, or Hi5 Campervan — priced slightly higher to reflect their modern design and added conveniences.

And if you’re worried about mileage — don’t be! Every Travellers Autobarn rental includes unlimited miles, so you’re free to explore as far as the road takes you.

Expert Tip from Bastian – Sales & Marketing Manager, Travellers Autobarn:

Driving Tips for Driving Your Campervan or RV in Sequoia National Park

Windy Road through Joshua Tree National Park.

Be Prepared for Steep & Winding Roads

Sequoia’s roads are famously scenic, but they can also be narrow, winding, and steep in places. Take your time, use lower gears on descents, and don’t feel rushed. Safety always comes before speed when driving a campervan in the mountains.

Check Height & Length Restrictions

Some roads in Sequoia National Park have vehicle length restrictions, and tunnels or tree-covered areas may limit clearance. Always check the National Park Service website before heading out to ensure your campervan is allowed on your chosen route.

Watch Out for Wildlife

Deer, bears, and smaller animals often cross the roads, especially in early morning or late evening. Drive slowly and stay alert, particularly in forested areas where visibility may be limited.

Plan for Limited Services

Once inside the park, services like fuel stations and grocery stores are limited. Fill up your gas tank before you enter and stock up on essentials in nearby towns like Three Rivers.
